Her current project and intended debut is a 95,000-word Young Adult Science Fiction novel that combines the animal familiars of THE GOLDEN COMPASS with dystopian DIVERGENT. It has the tone of THE RED QUEEN, as protagonist navigates high-stakes consequences of being different than what her lunar society allows.

Alyssa is based in the suburbs outside New York, New York. Home "in the country" makes for a built-in writing retreat and enough space for an energetic rescue dogs.
